So what's new? The good news is that the shirt's silhouette hasn't been tampered with. It still features the same button-down collar, with the same spread, and same point length. The body still comes in three fits to suit every shape. Each is still crafted from Supima cotton in BB's Garland, North Carolina factory. To get into the bits that have been tweaked, you need to go under the hood—or collar, really. That's where you'll see that the interlining (an extra piece of fabric that's fused or sewn between layers as reinforcement) is gone. The result is a collar that rolls (above), rather than folds, down to meet the rest of the shirt. Also gone: the front shirt pocket, a standby since 1968 (below). Finishing off the 2.0-level upgrade is the addition of top quality mother-of-pearl buttons (aka the good stuff) and a longer shirttail to keep things nicely tucked.
